At Russo Law Group, you are not just a client, you are family! Did you know that as a client of our firm, you can give an immediate family member a Family Plan Coupon? Our goal is to forge a bond with you and your entire family. Your loved ones can apply the coupon toward their own comprehensive New York Estate Plan! It includes a planning meeting, and six (6) particularly important documents offered at a flat fee.

Those documents are:

Why are These Documents Important?

A Last Will and Testament (Will) outlines what you want to happen to your assets upon your death, who will oversee your estate as Executor and who will take care of any minor children.

A Durable Power of Attorney lets you designate a trusted person to manage your financial and property matters if you are not able to do so yourself. This may be due to travel, illness, or injury.

A Health Care Proxy allows you to name a trusted person to make medical decisions for you if you become incapacitated by illness or injury.

A Living Will can address your preferences for care and treatment in medical emergencies and at the end of your life. It includes instructions for the agent of your health care proxy to follow.

HIPAA Authorizations allow you to authorize trusted individuals to be able to access your medical records.

A Burial Designation allows you to appoint a person to manage the disposition of your remains and detail your wishes such as burial or cremation and your funeral service.

How it Works

Recently, one of our clients gave their adult children the family plan coupon as a Christmas gift, which enabled them to plan for their own growing families. This was a valuable gift to them and something they were putting off due to the everyday challenges of raising a family.

  1. Hi,
I did some family planning with your office last year with Diana Lattanzio. Does this asset protection help with any other state other than NY,like Connecticut.
    Thank-you

    1. Hi Janice. Asset Protection planning such as the creation of an irrevocable trust starts the 5 year look-back period (in NY) for long-term care Medicaid planning. Every state has its own specific Medicaid laws so if you are permanently relocating out of NYS, then you should seek the advice of counsel admitted to practice law in the new state for an overview of your estate plan and any recommendations on updates or changes.
