DESCRIPTION:Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Center and Senior Care Companions\, Inc\nare proud to present a CEU Event\nImproving the Quality of Life in Alzheimer’s Patients through Mind\, Body\, and Nutrition\nThe Alzheimer’s Disease Resource Center\n200 Carleton Ave\, East Islip\, NY 11730 \nTuesday\, June 27th\, 5:30-8pm \nPlease join ADRC and Senior Care Companions\, Inc. as they present a workshop on some of the latest real-life techniques to help improve the health and well-being of those affected by Alzheimer’s and Dementia. \nTopics discussed will include practical techniques and routines that you can start right away to improve cognitive function and reduce stress in Alzheimer’s patients\, as well as educate the caregivers on how to best cope with the challenges facing caring for someone with dementia-related issues. \nAlso discussed will be the importance of physical fitness\, and how the brain and the body are interdependent upon one another. They will offer easy-to-perform exercise techniques that can be done in the comfort of your home that focus on improving balance\, mobility\, and overall function. \nFinally\, they will discuss some of the latest research in mind-body medicine to highlight the importance of nutrition as it pertains to overall health and cognitive functioning.
